Sheerness Town Goes all Out for Christmas 2015

Come along to the Town Center this Saturday 5th Dec and join the BRFM roadshow celebrate the Christmas Lights Switch on, Christmas Lantern Parade and The Santa Run.

Sheerness will come alive on Saturday with a Christmas market in the High Street from 10pm to 5pm and the annual lantern parade, organised by Big Fish Arts, at 4pm.

More than 200 adults and children have been making paper lights for the procession which will be from Beachfields to the clock tower.

Special Santa Run to be an annual event:  As a special treat, members and friends of the Rotary Club of Minster will be dressing up as Father Christmas for Sheppey’s first Santa Run at 3pm, again from Beachfields to the clock tower.

Swale Council waiving charges to town’s car parks: Because it is also Small Business Saturday, Swale council is waiving all charges for the town’s car parks.

The High Street and Broadway will be closed to traffic from 7am to 6pm monitored and helped by the EMU’s.  The town’s regular Saturday market along with others will move into the High Street

Entertainment from the 95.6 BRFM’s Roadshow starts at 10am from the Old House at Home end of the High Street.  Father Christmas will be in his log cabin grotto behind the Rose Street Cottage of Curiosities all day.
