Written by karen on 18 January 2016
Listen in to Breakfast from 7am to hear an update on the A249 Closure with Andrew Broughton from Highways England
Join John Sissons on the BRFM Breakfast show, Tuesday 19th January from 7am. John will be interviewing Andrew Broughton from Highways England about the extended closure of the A249 following a burst water main at Bobbing. Traffic has been diverted over the Key Street Roundabout and back down to the Bobbing slip road.
The A249 was closed Monday Night (11th January) following a burst water main that feeds the Isle of Sheppey. Following this, other ruptures have occurred like the one in Harps Avenue (Friday 15th January)
Southern Water have relentlessly been supplying water to the Water Tower in Minster, although some local people have complained about the noise throughout the night they do realise that it is a necessity to keep the area supplied with fresh water.
BRFM Presenters have been updating listeners and followers and will continue to do so till repairs are made and the carriageway opens again.
