Officers investigating an incident in which a traffic warden was injured by a car have renewed an appeal for information.

Video footage captured on the victim’s body worn camera is now being released in the hope it will encourage people to come forward.

The incident happened in High Street, Eastchurch, shortly after 2.45pm on Friday 8 July 2016.

Officers have also republished a CCTV still of a man who they believe may be able to assist them.

It was reported that the victim had asked a man to move his car as it was parked on zigzags next to a pedestrian crossing.

While a parking ticket was being printed the vehicle accelerated towards the traffic warden and collided with him before being driven away.

The victim was not seriously injured but suffered pain to his neck and shoulders.

Anyone who recognises the man in the CCTV image is urged to call the appeal line on 01795 419119 quoting reference XY/26503/16.

Alternatively call Kent Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
