Your opportunity to shape NHS services near YOU!!!
Local people have been invited by The NHS in Sittingbourne and Sheppey to attend a number of organised meetings intended to provide an opportunity for people to share views and ask questions relating to local NHS services.
The first of these meetings is to be held at the UK Paper Leisure Club, Avenue of Remembrance, Sittingbourne. Listening Post will be held on Friday 18 March from 12 midday – 12:50pm. Local people are invited to attend and ask questions at The Listening Post related to local health services and also question health professionals.
NHS Swale Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) are holding their Governing Body Meeting, following The Listening Post. The CCG are responsible for planning, buying and delivering most local healthcare services and are also inviting local people to attend from 1pm-4pm. The agenda and supporting papers will be available from Monday 14 March at www.swaleccg.nhs.uk . You are invited to ask questions at any of the CGG’s public Governing Body meetings, however they must be related to the agenda items and it is requested that any questions are tabled in advance by emailing [email protected] or by calling 03000 425100.
Local people can further get involved and influence local healthcare decisions by signing up to Swale CCG’s Health Network online at www.swaleccg.nhs.uk./get-involved/ 0r by calling 03000 425100.
Finally, you can join your local GP practice’s Patient Participation Group (PPG). Here, you can find out what is happening and help to influence local decisions. If this sounds like a good idea to you, feel free to contact your GP practice and find out more.
If you feel strongly and/or have specific views regarding the health services available to you, or maybe would like more information about local NHS services, then these meetings are for you.
