Introduction to Funding Workshop @34 October 26 @ 10:00 am

Written by on 21 October 2016

We will be holding a free workshop for all ages to introduce ‘Fundraising for Creative Activities’.

The workshop will include an Introduction to Writing Bids; Budgets and give you an idea of the huge variety of funding opportunities there are for you! We will talk about what fundraising might mean to you; what sort of expectations funders have and most importantly what interests you have in hosting creative events.

Nigel Turley from Funding for All  will be bringing his experience of providing mentoring support to voluntary organisations and community groups across Kent and Medway on heritage, community buildings, youth projects, allotments, arts, sports, environmental and many more.

We especially encourage anyone from ages 14 years upwards – there are lots of funding opportunities for young people to apply for each year that never get taken up!

This would be great preparation if you have project ideas – Grants advisors from Arts Council England and Heritage Lottery Fund will be visiting No.34 on 24th November to talk about the funding streams they offer and they will also be available on this date for some 1-2-1 slots to discuss any specific ideas you may have for projects (look out on our website for upcoming details).

Do let us know if you would like to come along so that we can provide coffee and cake! RSVP or ask any questions ahead of the workshop.

We look forward to hearing about your ideas!
