Our flagship programme Out of the Ordinary Places, working with communities in Strood, Isle of Grain, Sittingbourne and Iwade, has officially launched and we’re inviting you to be part of these very special local projects with contemporary artists.
From October until December 2015 you can get involved in new artistic projects in your area to create, celebrate and share with the community. Artists Ruth Ewan, Mikhail Karikis, Lucy Joyce and Richard Houguez have been commissioned to create projects inspired by the people and places in which they are set.
Each project is a call to action, asking local residents to collaborate with the artist and each other to shape the project and take part in workshops, performances and celebrations. From guided walks steeped in historical tradition to creating huge billboards; DJ workshops to creating a pantomime – take a look at the ways that you can get involved.
