We’re excited to be bringing  the Student Maker’s Market back to No.34.

This fabulous handmade Valentines Market is showcasing talented young designer makers from all over Kent with a focus on Swale makers. There will be fun free workshops throughout the day that you can take part in run by our very own young makers. Also watch a live poetry performance.

High quality, innovative and unique products – from handmade jewellery to candles and ceramics.

Directly support a young business – Student Makers Markets help young creatives start their own businesses by supplying FREE stalls and equipment, plus workshops in presentation, production, market trading and business.

WORKSHOPS

Sewing Portraits by Freida
Come, sit and be sewn! Frieda will be sewing ten minute portraits of the visitors to No.34 with a small written contribution by the sitter, creating a collaborative piece. Eventually they will be all sewn together to create a huge patchwork tapestry of people and what they all have to say.

Valentines Screen Printing by Lorna
Make your own screen printed Valentine’s Day card, have fun printing your own designs.Using simply an embroidery hoop fabric and stencils Lorna will deliver a innovative workshop demonstrating how screen printing can be easy accessible using simple materials and processes.

Crochet Pastel Wrap Bracelet by Nicola
Make a sweet pastel wrap bracelet for your Valentine! Nicola will show you how to use basic crochet techniques to make a lovely wrap bracelet. You don’t need any previous experience in crochet or jewellery making to create a beautiful wearable bracelet.
