the Swale Film Society’s Christmas Screening

Written by on 17 November 2016

You’ve been waiting for this all year and now it’s finally here –

the Swale Film Society’s Christmas Screening!

Join us on Wednesday 7th December at Ideas Test, No.34 High Street, Sittingbourne, Kent, ME10 4PB for the first ever feature length talkie adaptation of the Charles Dickens novel A Christmas Carol.

This film, titled Scrooge, was made in 1935 at Twickenham Studios in London. The film stars Sir Seymour Hicks, an actor who became famous for playing the role of Ebenezer Scrooge, not just in films but also on the stage.

Set in 1843 in London, this is the classic tale of a Christmas-hating, mean old miser named Ebenezer Scrooge. We follow Scrooge on a journey through his Christmas Past, Present and Future in his search for the true meaning of Christmas. But will he find it?

Come along to our Christmas Screening and find out!

This event takes place on Wednesday 7th December at

Ideas Test, No.34 High Street Sittingbourne, ME10 4PB.

Doors open at 7pm. Film starts at 7:30pm.
