Water Supply Disrupted Again

After water supplies were restored earlier this afternoon, the supply has dried up again, Southern Water have issued the following advice

We are working as swiftly as possible to reconnect the water supply to customers on the Isle of Sheppey. Bottled water is available at Morrison’s supermarket in Queenborough.

We are sorry for the inconvenience this disruption has caused customers and are working as hard as we can to ensure supplies are returned to everyone as soon as possible.

Stay tuned to BRFM for further updates.

The Elderly at The Maples Minster cannot get down there to get free water, let alone carry a pack of 6 bottle. Perhaps Southern water should consider delivering to them direct ?

My nan lives in the maples. Thankfully they were not affected. My dad checked in on her earlier today.

There are elderly all over minster, that do not have the internet. So how do they know and can they get to Morrison. I did not notice the water come on at all. Yes it is inconvenient but the lack of information is more frustrating.

Has there been another delivery of water to outside Morrison as the last and first lot was at 3pm but went pretty quick. Being it can take 10 to 15 mins to get to Morrison from East end of Island supply will be gone by now ,if it’s 2nd delivery.

They’ve been having deliveries all afternoon so if you go down & there’s none there then i dont think it won’t be long until more is delivered xxxx not perfect obviously but at least it’s something xxx
