Fiddle & Faff return to the Avenue Theatre for another evening of fabulous folk music.

Fiddle & Faff is a duo of friends, Christine Adams and Lissie Bayford. Their music is mostly drawn from the folk tradition, peppered with other influences that take their fancy and encompasses songs and tunes from the lyrical and lovely to the toe-tapping and quirky.  Christine plays fiddle, accordion & nyckelharpa and sings harmony while Lissie sings and  plays double bass,  so that together they create performances that are entertaining and engaging.

Herne Bay singer and entertainer Martin Farbrother makes a welcome return to the Avenue Theatre. Joining Martin on stage is local vocalist Sue Barnes. Sue has performed at many top venues and includes cruise ships entertainment amongst her credits. Just recently Martin & Sue formed a partnership and have been an instant hit with audiences. Tonight, under the name of ‘Reflections’ they will demonstrate their joint passion for entertaining with a show packed with fun & songs made famous by some of the world’s greatest singers.

 

A Real Alien Adventure

Ripstop Theatre presents A Real Alien Adventure.

Miss Amelia Buttersnap, investigator of all things unseen and mysterious, inventor of gadgets both marvellous and improbable, is on a mission to prove that aliens really do exist. With her Translator Device, her Teleporter Machine and her trusty cat Tibbles she sets off in her home-made rocket on a rip-roaring, intergalactic journey.
Are the aliens friend or foe? Why do the aliens want to steal all the earth’s fluffy things? And … how do you drink a cup of tea in space?

Shadow puppetry, projections and aliens all make for a fun filled show full of wonderment for the whole family. (recommended for children over the age of 3 years)

Following the amazing audience reaction to the first Variations of Pointe JSLN Dance Company

return with another superb triple bill consisting of ‘Spirits of Ballet’, excerpts from little known 19th and early 20th Century romantic ballets, ‘Mojo in Motion’ based on the Austin Powers theme and a new neo-classical work ‘Consequential Gaps’ which explores the function of objects and people after their usefulness has passed.

Frank Sinatra & Elvis Presley performed several time together in Las Vegas. Sadly both entertainers are no longer with us but seasoned Avenue Theatre performer Martin Farbrother & top Elvis tribute Chris Field form Ashford team up to bring you a great evening of entertainment. This is part of their mini tour and they will be bringing you a show packed full of fun and songs made famous by ‘The Governor’ & The King. Come along to the bright lights of Las Vegas for a show not to be missed.

Restaging the big classics has been done many times. They also have been adapted to

Contemporary pieces and even movies but Soren Niewelt tries to explore another side of the story. Utilizing some of the  original score as well as adding new music this evening filling program looks at Swanlake through the eyes of Odile. Told in Niewelts neoclassical style the classical tale of Swanlake gets a twist some might not have thought of yet, or was it a possibility all along?
