this week incidents from the HM Coastguard Sheppey
Wednesday 6th January at 23:50hrs.
Sheppey Coastghaurds were taked to assist Herne Bay Coastuguards and Kent Police (inc. helicopter) to search for a missing vunerable female in the Faversham area. Three memebers of the team searched the Faversham Creek and the near vicinity for 4 hours. The casulty was eventually found and was taken into care.

You missed out it was midnight we got paged so was up all night the we all had work the next day ?

It says 2350 and you were out for 4 hrs. I don’t record for press releases that we were up all night as it sounds churlish. These often go in the papers so I stick to the facts and try and avoid any emotive comments about how cold it was, what the weather was like , if we got out of a warm bed to go on the shout ??

As Somebody that has been part of the team woken up in the middle of the night to get out of a warm bed in the horrible weather, i know what you mean 🙂
