BRFM Hottest Day Of The Year So Far

The BRFM area is basking in sunshine and the warmest temperatures for May since 2012.
Top temperatures have reached 26 degrees Celsius in some parts of the south east.

The mercury has risen in the south east making it more than 10 degrees hotter than Barcelona and Madrid.
Local beaches have been popular with sun-seekers today.
The M2 was experiencing delays coast-bound earlier on Sunday, as scores of motorists decided to head to the seaside.
The weather was good for the runners in today’s Paul Trigwell 10 mile Island Run.
The Met Office are warning us not to get too excited though, as rain is expected by Tuesday.
