Campaign to Improve the Lower Road Reaches over One Thousand
Written by Duncan Martin on November 4, 2015
The Lower Road Campaign Group is chaired by Helen Knell who was hit by a car on the road while cycling. She said the group are delighted with the response so far.
The petition is going to be presented to Kent County Council at Cowstead Corner on Thursday December 3 at 10am.
The group wants the six-mile stretch of the A2500 widened to cope with the rising number of cars used by families on new housing estates and holiday traffic to the east of the Island.

The stretch of road is also a bottle-neck in the morning and evening rush, with queues back to the Cowstead corner a regular sight.
