The Clean for the Queen campaign has been organised as a nationwide ‘litter pick’ – the goal being to clean up our green and pleasant land in time for the Queen’s 90th birthday celebrations in June 2016.

This is a fantastic opportunity for people to join organised local events scheduled on the national clean up weekend – Friday 4 to Sunday 6th March. If however, you would like to organise your own event, you are free to register your interest with Swale Borough Council directly or via the Clean for the Queen website……details below!!

Swale Borough Council have offered their support to events they are aware of by providing free bags and equipment and the removal of rubbish at the end of the day. Organised events to date are…….

Faversham:

  • 5th March – Water Lane, Painters Forstal, Brogdale Farm Cottages
  • 5th March – Preston/Stone St, Leslie Smith Drive, Newton Rd, Station, Recreation Grnd, Park/Whitstable Rd, Wildish Rd
  • 13th March – Parsonage Farm
