After that, the next 175 customers will be able to get a washable rug worth £9.99 for just £4.99.
There will also be games, prize giveaways and music on offer throughout the day.

Lee Dolby, area manager, said: “We look forward to offering our customers in Sheerness an extended range of products from branded food, toiletries and homeware.
“The team is working hard to deliver an outstanding shopping experience for our new customers with great service and an enjoyable shopping environment.
“We are expecting massive queues for our Opening Day Only Specials, so come early to catch the bargains.”

Poundstretcher was established in 1981 and now has more than 400 stores across the country.

The building became vacant earlier this year after being home to Store Twenty One for several years, and also was the former home of Tesco (Homeware, Toys & gifts and clothing) for many years.
