Rose St Cottage of Curiosities‎ 2nd-30th May: Kitchenalia Exhibition

May 2, 2017 @ 12:00 pm - May 30, 2017 @ 3:00 pm

This new Kitchenalia exhibition features everyday objects from ordinary homes over the past hundred years. There are gadgets such as smoothing irons, progressing from those heated on the fire to modern steam irons, vacuum cleaners from early manual suction to 1960s Electrolux and an early spin dryer. Cook wear, butter pats and cast iron pans.

There will be a collection of teapots through the ages. There are interesting cook books for house wives to create dinners for special occasions or eek out the pennies.
