incidents from HM Coastguard Sheppey this week

14.08.17 at 17.00hrs – Sheppey Coastguards were tasked to Queenborough All Tide Landing (ATL) to assist the Lifeboat towing yacht with 2 persons on-board. Coastguards RV with the yacht and safety advice passed on.

19.08.17 at 23.00hrs –    Tasked to the Queenborough All Tide Landing (ATL) following a report of a person stuck in mud. Sheerness Lifeboat in attendance and ascertained that the casualties were two jet skis and a motor cruiser “Escapades 2” – 6 casualties in total. Cruiser had lost power in one engine and one jet ski had been disabled due to the engine flooded with sea water. The disabled jet ski and cruiser were eventually secured to All Tide Landing. Kent Police requested.
