Mayor of Swale’s Engagements Wb 9th March 2020

The Mayor of Swale, Councillor Ken Ingleton, will attend or be represented by the Deputy Mayor, Councillor Roger Clark, at the following:

Friday March 13: OOB Civic:   3.30pm for 4pm to 5pm     Official Launch of Wheels of Time 2020

The Official Launch of Wheels of Time 2020 will take place at ‘Grand Mag’, Fort Amhurst, Khartoum Road, Chatham and the Deputy Mayor will attend.  The Wheels of Time scheme has eleven Swale sites involved and this year there are a further eight sites added to the list of museums and heritage attractions across Kent and Medway, bringing the tally of participating Wheels of Time attractions to an impressive forty-eight. The event will be attended by the Mayor and Mayoress of Medway, Cllr and Mrs Habib Tejan, and there will be displays from many of the participating museums and heritage sites.  Previous young recipients of Wheels of Time Bronze, Silver, Gold and Top Awards will be in attendance.

6pm for 6.30pm    Volunteer Swale 2020 Awards Ceremony

The Mayor and Mayoress will attend an evening of celebration at the seventh Annual Volunteer Swale Awards Ceremony at The Barnyard, Oak Lane, Sittingbourne.   Hosted by Swale Borough Council, in association with Swale CVS, the evening will celebrate the inspirational achievements of local volunteers.   Many nominations were received and the Mayor will give an opening address and present the Outstanding Achievement Award.
