Mayor of Swale’s Engagements Week Beginning 18th November 2019

The Mayor of Swale, Councillor Ken Ingleton, will attend or be represented by the Deputy Mayor, Councillor Roger Clark, at the following:

Friday November 22 – 7pm for 7.30pm  –  An Evening of Conversation – Swale Youth Development Fund  

At the invitation of the Trustees of the Swale Youth Development Fund (SYDF) the Mayor and Mayoress will attend a fundraiser evening at the Assembly Rooms at   66 Preston Street, Faversham with TV presenter Sir Martyn Lewis and Freeman of Swale, Paralympian Steve Brown “In Conversation”.

Saturday November 23 – 5.45pm for 6pm to 8pm     Christmas Lights Switch-on

At the invitation of the Chairman and Councillors of Eastchurch Parish Council, the Mayor and Mayoress will be at All Saints Church in Eastchurch to formally switch on the Parish Christmas Lights.    After the Switch-on ceremony the civic couple will view the Community Christmas Tree Festival inside the Church.

Sunday November 24 – 10.55am for 11am (to 4pm)    –   Formal Opening – Magical Christmas Event

The Mayor and Mayoress will attend a Magical Christmas fundraising event at       St James’ Church in Bicknor, near Sittingbourne.   After formally opening the event outside the church jointly with the Mayor of Maidstone, Cllr Marion Ring, the civic party will visit Santa in his ‘Kent Control Centre’ inside the transformed church.  They will then tour the various stalls meeting crafters with their unique gifts and goodies for sale, as well as enjoying family activities, including Story Time with the Winter Fairy, refreshments and carollers.
