Louisa Pearce talks to BRFM about the Leysdown Clean Up

The Voluntary Island Clean Up 
Will be at Leysdown beach on the 24th march. 
Every one is welcome to join in and help clean the beach.

We will be meeting at Central Beach Holiday Park from 10:30am, they have kindly offered the use of there facilities for the day including parking and free tea, coffees and juice for the kids.  They are also providing the children with entertainment whilst parent put there feet up for a break.

On arrival you will be asked to sign in to borrow equipment being supplied by the council for the day and required to sign it back in after the event.

We will have some gloves that have been donated by pound land available to borrow for the day as well but if you do have your own gloves please bring them along with you.

SWALE BOROUGH COUNCIL

Litter pickers and bag hoops are all being supplied on the day by the council.
You will have a quick safety talk before you head off to the beach.

Don’t worry if you can’t make it for 10:30 we will be there all day, pop along when you can.

I will need people that can offer some time to help organise these events over the whole island.

We will also have a photographer from the local news papers covering this even so please let us know on arrival if you do not wish to have yr picture used in the paper.
