November’s film @SwaleFilmSoc Leonardo DiCaprio’s brand new documentary, Before the Flood

Written by on 28 October 2016

We like to roll with the times here at the Swale Film Society.

So for November’s film, we are showing Leonardo DiCaprio’s brand new documentary, Before the Flood.

Directed by Fisher Stevens and produced by Martin Scorsese, Before the Flood is a riveting account of the dramatic changes now occurring around the world due to climate change.

This documentary follows DiCaprio to five continents and the Arctic as he travels to witness visible signs of climate change. He speaks to scientists, world leaders, activists and local residents to gain a deeper understanding of this complex issue and investigate concrete solutions to the most pressing environmental challenge of our time.

This film is hot off the reel! It just premiered at the BFI London Film Festival on the 15th October.

Come join us on Wednesday 2nd November at Ideas Test to see this film on the big screen.

“We can no longer turn a blind eye to the issue of climate change,” says Stevens. “We are at a crucial moment where if we don’t act now, we will forever pay the price.”
