Officers arrest man in connection with Sheerness High Street assault
Officers have arrested and bailed a man on suspicion of assault following an incident in Sheerness.
A 44-year-old man from Sheerness was arrested on Monday 8 August after police were called to the High Street at 12.20am on Sunday 7 August.
Officers attended the scene along with South East Coast Ambulance Service who treated a man for serious facial injuries before taking him to a local hospital. His condition is described as serious but stable and he remains in hospital.
The arrested man has been bailed until Thursday 15 September to allow officers to continue enquiries.
