Have your say on Thistle Hill play area
Written by karen on 17 October 2016
Local people are being given the chance to help choose the design of the new play area for Thistle Hill.
On Saturday, 22 October, we will be holding an activity day at the site of the new play area, next to Thistle Hill Community Centre.
As well as a bouncy castle, and arts and crafts activities, local families will have the chance to have their say on design options for the new junior and toddler play areas, and the new trim trail in the community woodland.
The total cost of the new play areas will be in the region of £180,000, paid for by a contribution made by the developers of the housing site as part of the planning process.
The community feedback on the designs will form part of the final evaluation process undertaken by the council which also assesses the overall value for money, previous performance of the companies, quality of equipment and on-going maintenance considerations.
