this week incidents from the HM Coastguard Sheppey
Friday 10th June at 6pm
Sheppey Coastguards were requested to go to Loves Beach at Leysdown to attend to a speedboat drifting off the shore. The speedboat manged to get ashore unaided. It appeared that the owner forgot to put the ‘bung’ in the vessel so it filled up with water ! Safety advice was given as the vessel had no radio, no lifejackets and no flares.
