Woman attacked in Rushenden

A woman was found with serious injuries at an address in Rushenden this morning.

Police were called at around 9am and then pursued a car that failed to stop in connection with the incident.  The drama  unfolded as the car failed to stop for officers and headed towards Leysdown.  It was finally brought to a halt on the Lower Road when police deployed a stinger.

An eyewitness described three men being arrested at the scene.
