Flood Alert For Sheppey

Environment Agency Issue Flood Warning.
The Environment Agency has issued a flood warning for the Isle of Sheppey.
Areas at risk of coastal flooding on the Isle of Sheppey and North Kent Coast from Kemsley to Seasalter, including Sheerness, Minster, Queenborough, Leysdown on Sea, Sittingbourne and Faversham.
This Alert is primarily to advise riverside interests along the Faversham Creek of the possibility of low-impact flooding from around early afternoon today. The high tide at Faversham will be around 14:00 on Wednesday afternoon. High astronomical tides are set to coincide with a small positive surge. We do not expect flooding of property. Members of the public and boat owners should take suitable precautions in tidal areas.
